Seven years have passed.
Gaynor is living in South Yorkshire with her common-law husband Josh Harrington and her daughter Jenny.
She dropped out of university whilst in her second year and left West London to work in a pre-school nursery.
Following questions raised by teachers up at Jenny's school regarding a small photograph album that was in Jenny's satchel, her mum, Gaynor is called in to see the head teacher.
Gaynor explains that the photo of the man with the beard who often works in Pakistan and whose message reads "Mason loves Jenny Jenny Mellor" is her father, but due to the nature of Mason's work, not only does Jenny go by "Mellor", Jenny is also unaware of who he really is.
Mason's wife, Anita also uses her maiden name - Pallenburg.
The weekend after, Gaynor's mum drops a bombshell and Jenny finally finds out that Mason is her dad.
Gaynor's partner, Josh, flips and after a secret text from Jenny to her dad, Mason brings Gaynor and Jenny home.
