Gaynor is going to University and med school to study to be a doctor. Between college and university she gets a job placement at a hospital in Chelsea as understudy to NHS London's Deputy Director, Christie Gotleib.
Mason's father owned a 50% stake in Greenford Developments which Mason has an obligation to go and work for - especially as they pay him.
Mason looks up to Gaynor and Angie's father who is a geotechnical engineer who owns a specialist ground support company in North Acton and rather fancies that as a career path.
He puts a proposition to his father's ex-partner David Ford, who immediately knocks it back. Not that this bothers Mason.
Through his solicitor, Israel Kingdom, Mason has a carrier bag full of money dropped off at the receivers for the purchase of North Thames Piling & Foundations - an oven-ready company that has gone into Administration.
